SITE UNDER CONSTRUCTION- please read

19th April 2008

bubbles in bubbles

I've changed the look of the site, as the last attempt appeared too dark. I have done a fair bit of work, and should have the lot uploaded soon. So far the home, about and contact pages are the only ones working. The side menu (on the right) is not linked to any other pages yet.

The last website hadn't been touched since November 2006, so there's a lot of things to add. There are loads of photos to sort through and edit. I plan to do a page a day, if time allows.

Please call back soon and see what's new. For now, if you've got an event planned and would like some bubbles, please use the contact link above to get in touch.

7th June edit- Temporary solution to  the problem with the way Internet Explorer wa displayingthe site. I've been too busy recently.....

Looking forward to some bubbles and sunshine

BeatHerder mud

Let's hope this year has some better weather in store. It seemed to rain everywhere in 2007! Trusty old Flo (the camper) still has mud lurking in the corners.

We were really busy last summer, with festivals, some community events,  'BubbleMania' (in association with Port Sunlight), school workshops and parties. All good clean fun though.

You can catch up with BubbleMan at BeatHerder and Solfest this year. Visit the site again soon for more details, and news of other places I'll be blowing bubbles at this year.

Open Source and CSS

I use Ubuntu, a Linux operating system (instead of Windows), and also Open Source software. Open Source software is free, and developed by enthusiasts. Visit the links below to find out more.

I'm also learning to build websites using compliant CSS. It's taken a while, but I think I've got it now. The site passes the W3C compliance tests, but I need to sort out the accessibility side of things.

This site is tested on the FireFox browser. There may be some format problems with other browsers. Although these issues are down to the likes of Microsoft ignoring CSS standards (or something),  I will try to sort them out. If things look a little strange, then why not try FireFox out?
